The testing standards for automotive wiring harnesses primarily include QC/T 29106 "Technical Specifications for Automotive Low-Voltage Wiring Harnesses" and various enterprise-specific standards. The testing items typically encompass: inspecting the crimping quality of terminals and conductor or wire connections, the waterproof performance of connections, the harness's resistance to high/low temperatures and humidity, salt spray resistance, and vibration resistance.

Extended Information: Precautions for Automotive Wiring Harness Testing

  1. Wire Cutting Compliance: Verify if the wire dimensions meet the specified requirements and if the wire type is correct. The cut must be neat without causing damage or contamination to the wire.

  2. Stranding Organization: Check if the stranding is neat and if the dimensions are accurate. Ensure that the core wires are not nicked during strand trimming.

  3. Outer Insulation Stripping: Inspect if the stripping is even and if the stripping dimensions are correct. Avoid damaging the stranded wires or core wires, and ensure no copper strands are severed. The insulation must not detach during semi-stripping.

  4. Heat Shrink Tubing Size: Carefully verify if the type and size of the heat shrink tubing are correct.

  5. Soldering Preparation Temperature: Check if the soldering iron temperature is appropriate. Before soldering, organize the core wires and copper strands to ensure they are free from bends, bifurcations, or kinks.
